Talk to us about your food allergies. The best thing to do is share your concerns with us as you are transitioning onto campus or have developed a food sensitivity or allergy during your time here. We strive to meet and exceed your needs regarding every food allergy and we take pride in serving wholesome ingredients. We follow recipes accurately, following directions to carefully ensure the safe handling of food. We want to answer any questions about the foods you see or other questions you may have. As a team committed to your health, it is our goal to ensure you are educated and prepared for a healthy and safe environment without allergic reactions. Our services revolve around helping customers needing assistance, so you may fully enjoy your time dining with us. If you have questions or concerns dealing with food allergies or special diet concerns, please contact our Registered Dietician, Rebecca Hunt RD, LD. 

  • Gluten Freedom LogoWe have a designated area of the Dining Commons, Gluten Freedom, located by Valley Vegan that stays fully stocked with the tools and food items needed for those restricted to gluten-free foods. 
  • Our menu system provides ingredient statements that clearly delineate the big eight allergens: milk, eggs, shellfish, fish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat & soy. 
  • Measures are taken at each station to limit the risk of cross-contact with gluten or other allergens as much as possible. 
  • Anyone can check on the presence of allergens listed in their meals. The absence of an allergen listed does not guarantee that the product is free of that allergen. As a guest you are responsible to communicate your allergies, to consult with a manager, and see labels from the original ingredients to ensure your health upon request.

Vegan & Vegetarian

  • Valley VeganOne of the most popular stations in the Dining Commons is Valley Vegan, which has vegan entrée’s, soups, wraps, and more for lunch and dinner. We have a talented team of chefs who blend together international cuisine with meatless splendor. 
  • At each station, entrées are clearly marked with designated signage for Vegan and Vegetarian options. We strive to offer a variety of soup options, and salad bar condiments that create healthful and balanced meals. 
  • We recognize that no two customers choose the same. Some of our customers have specific medical related needs, religious and/or cultural dietary requirements. This is why KSC Dining seriously considers our offerings and provides specialized services in addition to our wide variety of foods that cater to our customers’ dietary needs and preferences.
